OneStarfish.

On the beaches as he strolled, the learned gray bloke,
A single day next, to a stormy stroke,
Saw the shadows of a silhouette dance, from a distance,
A spry young maiden, upon second glance.

Not a jig albeit from afar he noticed,
Repeatedly towards the earth she bent, focused,
Picking up starfish to cast them gently into the ocean,
He expressed his bewilderment out in the open.

The sun up and the tide going out was why,
And if she doesn't throw them, they would die,
But the starfish continue for miles and miles along the beach,
And it wouldn't make a difference, he did beseech.

After polite listening she paused and reached below,
Past breaking waves she made another throw,
It made a difference to the life of that one,
Awestruck he stood there and saw what she had done.

Inspired he joined her in throwing starfish back to the sea,
Soon others joined and saved them all in glee.

My version of an essay by Loren Eiseley

The coolest thing about being young, is the fact that you're not old. At OneStarfish, we are a bunch of tree-loving kids "Adding to the difference" (math pun intended), with a difference. There is just too much balderdash going on with the environment and her people. So instead of hanging up our boots, we, being invincible and all, have decided to get down and do something about it.

Our GREEN lanterns are innovation, open-source learning, community brain stroming and chocolate chip cookies. Fancy, yes. This is our world and it is up to us to make it awesome. And after all, tonight, we are young!
